Frequently asked questions

What appliance repair owners and technicians ask before switching to Taskrol.

How much does Taskrol cost?

Taskrol offers Solo (free forever for one technician and one company), plus Basic and Pro plans priced per seat and per company. Basic and Pro include AI-generated invoices. Optional add-ons include Voice & SMS telephony and AI Agent minute packs. There is also a separate one-time AI Operator Trial ($10) for 50 AI minutes (and a reserved business number if you do not already have Voice & SMS) — it is not a CRM or telephony subscription. Card payment processing fees apply when you take cards. Every paid CRM plan includes a 7-day trial with full access before your first charge, and no credit card is required to start. See the pricing page for current totals.

Is there a free trial, and do I need a credit card?

Yes. Paid plans include a 7-day trial with full access, and no credit card is required to sign up. Recurring billing begins only after the trial ends, and the exact amount is shown at checkout before you confirm.

What is Taskrol?

Taskrol is an appliance repair CRM and field service software by Kereon Inc. It runs jobs, clients, parts inventory, invoices, payments, technician scheduling, and SMS in one app for iOS, Android, and web — purpose-built for appliance repair companies rather than a generic CRM.

How is Taskrol different from a generic CRM like HubSpot or Salesforce?

Generic CRMs are built around sales pipelines and contacts. Taskrol is built around the real appliance repair workflow: parts and warehouse inventory, service history per appliance, jobs on a map, van and technician assignment, field invoicing, and payments. Everything is designed for how repair companies actually work in the field.

Does Taskrol work on mobile and web?

Yes. Taskrol has native apps for iOS and Android for technicians in the field, plus a web app at app.taskrol.com for office and back-office work. Your data stays in sync across all devices.

What kind of businesses use Taskrol?

Taskrol is built for appliance repair companies and similar field service and trade teams that manage parts, service jobs, technicians, and invoicing — from solo technicians to multi-company operations with office staff and field crews.

Does Taskrol use AI?

Yes. Search parts in plain English, draft invoices from the parts and labor on the job, and speed up everyday paperwork — so owners and technicians spend less time typing and more time on repairs.

What is the AI Operator Trial?

A one-time $10 offer for 50 minutes of AI voice to try call intake. Without Voice & SMS you can also buy one business number held for 50 days; with telephony, minutes apply to your existing number. Separate from monthly CRM plans and Voice & SMS. SMS/A2P is not included. Details and setup steps (company/technician schedules and ZIP areas) are on the AI Operator Trial page.

Can Taskrol send SMS and appointment updates to customers?

Yes. Taskrol includes optional telephony with phone numbers, SMS templates, and automatic customer updates for ETA, appointments, and job status. It uses compliance-friendly consent (opt-in) flows so you can text customers responsibly.
