Privacy Policy
Effective date: April 2026
This statement explains what information we collect when you use our websites, mobile apps, and connected features (together, the "Service") that we offer under the Taskrol name. The Service is provided by Kereon Inc. ("Kereon"), a software development company. In this document, "we," "us," and "our" mean Kereon, and "Taskrol" means the Service and related software, unless the context requires otherwise. It should be read together with our Terms of Service, which describe permitted use of the Service. Nothing here is legal advice; if you need guidance for your business, consult a qualified professional.
A. Personal information we receive from you
You share data when you register, configure your account, and run day-to-day work in Taskrol. That can include:
- Credentials and profile details (for example name, email, phone, and sign-in information you choose).
- Business profile information such as trade name, postal address, identifiers you add for licensing or taxes, and payout information needed to move funds to your business.
- Operational records you create: customer contacts, job sites, equipment notes, parts usage, pricing lines, internal comments, and similar entries needed to run service operations.
- Billing-related signals from our payment partner (for example last-four digits or token references—not full card numbers stored on Taskrol-controlled servers where our processor handles card data).
- Correspondence you send to us (support tickets, email, in-product messages).
B. Data generated when you use the Service
Like most online services, we receive technical data when you connect:
- Network and device signals such as IP address, browser or app version, operating system, and coarse device identifiers useful for security and troubleshooting.
- Event and diagnostic information that helps us keep accounts safe (for example failed logins, error reports, and aggregated feature usage).
- Server logs that may include timestamps, request paths, and referring pages.
- A rough geographic region inferred from IP—not continuous GPS tracking from the app unless you separately grant location access for a feature that requests it.
C. Messaging and voice
If you send SMS or place calls through integrations we make available, carriers and our telecom vendors may process phone numbers, message bodies or call audio segments you originate, delivery receipts, and technical routing metadata. If you enable or use call recording, any storage of recordings follows your settings and provider capabilities. You—not Taskrol—decide what is lawful in your jurisdiction regarding notice, consent, and retention for recordings and outbound messaging. We are not a law firm and do not interpret recording or telemarketing rules for you.
Where an end customer opts in to receive SMS in connection with a service request handled through Taskrol, their mobile number is used to deliver messages you originate. We do not sell SMS opt-in contact lists or mobile numbers to third-party marketers or lead generators. Our subprocessors involved in delivering messages—such as hosting and telecom partners—receive only what is needed to route SMS and operate the Service, consistent with Section G.
D. Taskrol mobile app
The table below summarizes categories of information the app may handle. Exact fields depend on how you use the product.
| Category | Typical examples | Why it is processed |
|---|---|---|
| Identity & login | Name, email, phone, auth tokens | Sign-in and account security |
| Work media | Photos you attach to a job | Documentation you choose to add |
| Operational records | Jobs, invoices, notes | Core workflow you control |
| Handset context | Device model, OS build | Compatibility and crash diagnosis |
The app is not designed to harvest your contact list, medical information, or continuous background location. Addresses appear because you or your staff type them in as part of service work.
E. Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies or local storage where needed to keep you signed in, remember UI preferences, reduce fraud, and measure aggregate traffic. On taskrol.com we may use Google Analytics to understand how visitors find the site, which pages they view, and how they interact with key buttons (for example sign-up and pricing). We may also use Meta Pixel to measure advertising visits and completed registrations and to improve the relevance of Taskrol ads. We do not send names, email addresses, job details, customer records, or other CRM content through these website analytics events. Browser controls can limit cookies; doing so may break login or certain web features.
F. Purposes of processing
We process personal information to run the Service, authenticate users, bill subscriptions, deliver messages you initiate, respond to support, maintain security, comply with law, and assert or defend legal claims. Where you use AI-assisted features in Taskrol, we also process relevant content you submit to generate responses or automate tasks you request. We do not sell personal information in the sense of exchanging contact lists for money.
G. Recipients and onward transfers
We use subprocessors—such as payment gateways, hosting vendors, email delivery, telecom partners, AI providers, and security tools—to operate Taskrol. They may only use data to deliver services to us and are bound by contractual or statutory duties. We may also disclose information when lawfully required, to protect people and systems, or as part of a merger, financing, or asset sale (with notice when practical). Content you send to your own customers (invoices, texts) reaches those recipients by design.
Artificial intelligence (Anthropic). Certain Taskrol features rely on third-party AI services. When you use those features, data you submit—such as job notes, customer or job context needed for the request, and text you ask the system to summarize or draft—may be processed by our AI subprocessor Anthropic, PBC on our behalf to provide the functionality you invoke. Anthropic receives only what is necessary for that request and is contractually required to handle it as a service provider to Kereon, not for its own unrelated marketing purposes.
H. Independent businesses and end customers
Where you upload information about your customers, you are generally responsible as the business-facing controller of that information and for fair notices, consents, and responses to privacy requests from your customers. Taskrol processes that information on your instructions to host the software you pay for.
I. Retention
We keep data while accounts are active and for a reasonable wind-down period afterward unless a longer period is required for taxes, litigation, security, or fraud prevention. Financial records may be kept longer where statute or accounting practice demands (often multiple years). Deletion timelines can depend on backups and legal holds.
J. Security measures
We apply administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the nature of the Service. No online service can promise perfect security; you should protect passwords and devices you use to reach Taskrol.
K. Privacy requests
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal information about you (not necessarily every field your company stores about its customers). Email [email protected] with enough detail for us to verify your identity. We may decline requests that are excessive, fraudulent, or conflict with law.
L. California residents
California consumers may have rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including to know, delete, or correct certain personal information and to limit certain uses of sensitive data where applicable. We do not "sell" personal information as defined in the CCPA. To exercise rights, email [email protected] with "CCPA Request" in the subject line. We will not retaliate against you for making a good-faith request.
M. Other U.S. states
If your state grants additional privacy rights, you may contact us at the same address. We will respond consistent with that state's timeline and verification rules where they apply.
N. Cross-border processing
Our primary operations are in the United States. If you access Taskrol from elsewhere, you understand that data may be transferred to the U.S. or other regions where we or vendors maintain systems.
O. Minors
Taskrol is meant for adults running trade businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe we have, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
P. External sites
Links out of the Service are controlled by others. Their practices are not covered here.
Q. Updates
We may revise this policy periodically. The effective date at the top will change when we do. Material changes may also be highlighted in-product or by email when appropriate. Continued use after the new effective date means you accept the updated policy except where prohibited.
