Taskrol feature
Get the Service Manual Directly from the Job
The manual for the machine in front of you, one tap from the job — matched to the model on the ticket instead of searched for in a library.
The short answer
Taskrol puts the service manual on the job: when an appliance's model is on the ticket, a Manuals button appears next to it and opens the manuals on file for that exact model. Model numbers match even with a regional suffix, dashes or slashes, so technicians get the document without searching a library.
Every technician knows the routine: the model plate says one thing, the manual site wants another format, and the right PDF is four searches away — on one bar of signal, with the machine pulled out of the wall.
In Taskrol the manual comes from the job instead. Put the model on the ticket — typed, or read off the data plate with the camera — and a Manuals button appears next to that appliance whenever there are manuals for it. Tap it, pick the document, and it opens.
The same button sits on the appliance in the customer's record, so the manual is there on the return visit too, without another search.
How to open a service manual from a job in Taskrol
- Put the model on the job. Type the model number, or photograph the appliance's data plate and let Taskrol read brand, model and serial off it.
- Tap Manuals next to the appliance. If there are manuals for that model, a Manuals button shows up beside the appliance on the job — and on the same appliance in the customer's record.
- Open the document. Pick a manual from the list and it opens in your browser, ready to read on the phone or tablet at the machine.
Manuals from the job, not a library
No separate site, no second login, no search box. The job already knows the model, so it already knows which manuals to show.
Matched to the model, however it's written
Model numbers come with regional suffixes, dashes and slashes — RF4287HARS/XAA and RF4287HARS find the same manual. Document numbers that only look like models are ignored, so a tech-sheet number doesn't pull the wrong file.
Manuals for most models
The library covers most appliance models a repair shop sees, so the button is there on the jobs you actually run.
On the customer's appliance too
Every appliance in the customer's record carries the same Manuals button, so the document is one tap away on the callback as well.
Included on Basic and Pro
Service manuals come with the Basic and Pro plans. The free Solo plan doesn't include the manual library.
Frequently asked questions
How do I open a service manual from a job?
Put the appliance's model on the job, then tap Manuals next to that appliance. Pick a document from the list and it opens in your browser.
Why don't I see the Manuals button?
It appears only when there are manuals for that model and your plan includes them. Check that the model number is on the job, not just the brand. The free Solo plan doesn't include manuals.
Do I have to type the model number exactly?
No. Taskrol ignores spaces, dashes and slashes, and matches a model with or without its regional suffix, so the number from the data plate is enough.
Which plans include service manuals?
Basic and Pro. The free Solo plan doesn't include the manual library.
Can I use it on the phone at the machine?
Yes. The Manuals button is in the Taskrol app, on the job, and the manual opens in the phone's browser.
Solo stays free forever for one technician and one company. Paid plans include a 7-day trial.
