How Map-Based Dispatch Improves Appliance Repair Scheduling

Every appliance repair scheduling software has a calendar. Yours does, mine does, everybody's does. So I'm not going to sell you a calendar. A calendar tells you when a job is. What it doesn't tell you is where — and in this business, where is the thing that eats your day.

Think about a normal day. Your list says five jobs. What the list doesn't show is that three of them are on the same side of town and two are a forty-minute drive the other way. So you crisscross the city, burn an hour in the truck you didn't need to, and fit one less job than you could have. The calendar was never going to catch that. A map would.
