Shared Van Inventory for Appliance Repair — One Shopping List for the Team
Let technicians see each other's van stock, and let one person buy for everyone: storage sharing, suppliers, a low-stock threshold, and a shopping list you can switch from your own to any technician's.
Two technicians, two vans, and the same part ordered twice — because neither of them can see the other's shelf. This walkthrough turns that off: storage sharing in Taskrol, and the shopping list that comes out of it.
Set who can see whose van stock, keep the supplier list and low-stock threshold on the same screen, then switch the shopping list from your own warehouse to any technician's. A line on the list traces back to the job the part was ordered for — one person can buy for the whole team.

Two technicians, two vans, and the same part ordered twice -- because neither of them can see the other's shelf. Here's the setting that stops it, and the shopping list that comes out of it. It all lives in one place: Settings, then Storage. Everyone on the team who keeps a warehouse of his own is listed here with a colour marker, and each one gets two switches.
Share means the rest of the team can see what's on his van. Receive means he can see theirs. Turn them on for the people who actually swap parts, and save. On the same screen sit the suppliers you actually buy from -- Encompass, Marcone, Parts Town, whoever it is -- so a part on the list can carry the shop it comes from.
And the threshold: how few pieces have to be left before a part puts itself on the shopping list. That's the setup. Now Inventory: stock on hand on the left, and on the right the shopping list -- twelve items to buy, each one already down to its last piece. At the top of the list there's a picker: team members with a warehouse.
Choose a technician, and you're looking at his list instead of yours. And every line traces back to where it came from: the part was added to the order on a job, and it stays tied to that job. So one person does the buying for the whole team out of one list, and the same blower wheel doesn't get ordered twice. Shared van stock, one shopping list.
