Appliance Parts Diagrams Inside the Job — Find the Part, Add It in One Tap
Enter the model number on the job and tap Diagrams: the exploded parts diagrams for that model open in the app. Tap Add and the part goes on the job, on the shopping list, and on the invoice when you create it, ready for your price. Adding parts from diagrams comes with Basic and Pro.
Looking up a part number is the stretch of a repair call nobody pays for. The model plate is right there, the customer is waiting in the doorway, and the technician is on a supplier's site on a phone, typing the model off the plate into a search box built for a desktop. This short animation shows the lookup when the exploded views come to the job instead of the other way around.
The useful bit is what happens after the number turns up. It doesn't end up as a note or a photo in the camera roll: one tap puts the part on the job, tied to that appliance, and on the shopping list, and it's already there when you build the invoice, with the price left for you to fill in. Nothing is ordered for you — you still buy the part yourself and log what it cost when you mark it bought. The film also mentions ordering from a distributor inside Taskrol; that isn't available yet.
Adding parts from the diagrams comes with Basic and Pro, and so does the Manuals button on the same screen. The drawings come from a parts catalog, so coverage depends on the model, and some refrigerators need the full model number with the revision suffix from the nameplate. The parts lookup feature page covers reading the data plate with the camera and searching the catalog by part name.
